Championships

This document will serve as the official letter of intent. You are welcome to create a more elegant one for Their Alpine Highnesses to be presented at your convenience, but it is not necessary to do so. Please submit this form by 11:59 p.m. on January 11, 2020. The requirements for entry are: 1. You must be a member in order to compete. 2. You must submit two entries for judging. They can be related ideas. *Research papers need to be submitted by Feb. 1, 2020; earlier would be great.

From the Captain of Tigers, Lord Ian Campbell – Terms of the Cut & Thrust Championship to be held at March Coronet, 2020:

The tournament will be a round robin. Point system, with the limbs being 1 point. Body 2 points, head and neck 3. A clean hit (a none double) gets the fighter an extra point. And the fighters will be going to 5 points.

 

From Bardic Champion, Dionadar Feradach mac Tralin mec Domongairt – Terms of the Bardic Championship to be held in February 2020:

This will be an open championship.  Two pieces are required for the competition one of which must be a period piece.  Finalists will be chosen based on performance in the first two rounds.  A third piece will be needed for those competitors chosen for the final round.

 

From Alpine Scholar, Viscountess Temperance Trewelove – The terms of the championship to be held in February 2020.

Terms of Competition:

a.  The Arts & Sciences competition will be based on 2 entries.

b.  Anyone wishing to prepare for Kingdom can submit a 3rd entry for feedback (but it won’t contribute to their score).  Competitors with 3 entries must determine in advance which 2 will be used for the Principality competition.

c.  Letters of Intent are due at 11th Night.  A form will be created to gather information that will help with judge selection.  The form will be posted on Principality media (website, facebook page, etc.)
